Where to Celebrate Independence Day in Naples

One of the best things about being based in Naples, Florida is all of the great holiday celebrations and activities the town offers to the people. Here is a list of events happening on July 4th!

Naples Fourth of July Parade
10am-12pm


Come and celebrate our nation's independence at the downtown Naples 4th of July Parade! Starting at 10am, the parade will begin on 3rd Street South and head north, turning right on 5th Ave South, then right again onto 8th Street South. Free parking is offered at the downtown's 2 parking garages as well as the side streets. Please park in designated areas only.


Naples Fireworks Display from the Naples Pier
8pm-10pm


Free to attend! Fireworks begins at 9pm! (Be advised that inclement weather may delay or cancel fireworks.)

A wonderful Naples tradition on July 4th! After the sun sets, the annual firework display from the water near Naples Pier will start. Grab a spot anywhere along the beaches of Naples or from the pier and enjoy this half-hour of magic! Several Naples sightseeing boats offer cruises to watch the fireworks from the Gulf of Mexico. For a spot on board, remember to reserve in advance. The City of Naples “4th of July Fireworks” fire off at 9:00 p.m. from a barge approximately 1,000 feet north of the Naples Pier. The presentation will feature a 25 minute display with special effects musically choreographed to patriotic selections that will be simulcast on radio station WAVV 101.1 FM., be sure to bring your radio and tune in to the patriotic simulcast! Naples residents are invited to bring chairs and/or blankets and pick a spot along the City beach from Lowdermilk Park to south of the Pier for the best viewing spots in town, as the fireworks can be seen all along the Naples beach. Personal use of sparklers, Chinese lanterns, or any fireworks is prohibited per City ordinance. 

Sugden Park Fireworks
4pm-10pm

The free Fourth of July Celebration at Sugden Regional Park on Tuesday, July 4 will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. A free ice cream social will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Food and beverages will be available to purchase. The entertainment will start at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the evening will end with a fireworks display beginning at 9:15 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, friends and family for a night of good old-fashioned fun. No parking will be available at Sugden Regional Park, except for handicapped parking. Parking will be available at local establishments nearby the park. No coolers or pets, will be permitted into the park on July 4. 239-252-4000.

Weekend Sidewalk Sale on Fifth Avenue
10am-9pm

From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday July 1 to Tuesday July 4, Fifth Avenue South will feature a free of charge sidewalk sale with participating businesses placing merchandise and sale items on the sidewalks from Ninth Street to Third Street.

BBQ to Benefit Veterans
10am-9pm

Enjoy fireworks, cookout, and live entertainment with rooftop view at Hyatt House Naples, 1345 Fifth Ave, S, Naples, on Tuesday, July 4 from 5 to 10 p.m. to benefit "Disabled American Veterans." Tickets are $50 per person, with $10 from each ticket going to "Disabled American Veterans." Price includes BBQ, open bar, and view of fireworks. Limited tickets available. 239-775-1000 ext. 5103.

Firework cruises

Pure Florida will celebrate Independence Day with firework cruises on July 4, from 7:15 to 10:15 p.m., cruising from its Naples and Fort Myers locations. Certainly a unique way to celebrate Independence Day in Southwest Florida. Guests are invited to watch the sunset and the fireworks show, while enjoying the natural beauty of Southwest Florida and observing the wildlife native to the region. The captain will alert passengers to wildlife such as dolphins, eagles, manatee, native birds and more. Tickets for the Naples cruise are available for $85 per person for cruise and buffet access. Drinks will be available for purchase onboard. Tickets for the Fort Myers cruise are available for $65 per person. 

A Musical Salute to the Red, White and Blue

Gulfshore Opera Summer benefit concert and reception performance by Steffanie Pearce, and Gulfshore Opera Emerging Artists, on Sunday July 2, at 4 p.m. at the Music Salon of William Noll, 688 Trail Blvd, Naples.
